The IMAT (International Medical Admissions Test) is a centralized exam used for entry to English-medium medical programs in Italy. Held annually in September, it consists of Biology, Chemistry, Physics/Mathematics, Logic/Problem Solving, and General Knowledge/Culture sections. 60 questions are given with 100 minutes of total time. Correct answers earn 1.5 points while incorrect answers deduct 0.4 points.

Medical education in Italy lasts six years, with English-medium programs offered in cities like Milan, Rome, Bologna, Pavia, Padova, and Naples. Tuition at Italian public universities is remarkably affordable compared with other study destinations. However, places are limited, making a high IMAT ranking critical for admission.
