I knew my target, but I didn't have a realistic routine for GMAT Focus. I went into the exam much calmer than I would have before.

The GMAT Focus Edition is the current business school admission exam administered by the Graduate Management Admission Council (GMAC). It consists of three sections: Quantitative Reasoning, Verbal Reasoning and Data Insights. The total test duration is approximately 2 hours and 15 minutes. Unlike the previous GMAT format, the Analytical Writing section has been removed and replaced by the data-analysis-focused Data Insights section.
GMAT Focus Edition scores are reported on a scale of 205 to 805. The exam introduces new features such as navigating between sections and reviewing questions. These features make time management strategy more critical than ever. TestPrep tutors are fully proficient in the new format and have developed dedicated strategies for each section.

The GMAT (Graduate Management Admission Test) is administered by GMAC for MBA and Master's applications. The new GMAT Focus Edition (2023+) consists of Quantitative Reasoning, Verbal Reasoning, and Data Insights. It is the primary reference for top business schools worldwide.
Total range 205-805 in 10-point increments; each section 60-90. Top-20 MBA programs expect 705+ (equivalent to old 720+); international MBA programs in Turkey typically set thresholds at 645-685.
Total 2 hours 15 minutes: Quant 45 min (21 questions), Verbal 45 min (23 questions), Data Insights 45 min (20 questions). Section order is selectable, with one optional 10-minute break. Available at test centres or online.
Most MBA programs accept both. Adcoms know GMAT better since it's the traditional B-school reference. Strong Quant favours GMAT; Verbal/writing focus favours GRE. Target schools' median scores should guide your decision.
Five years. You may take the test up to 5 times in a calendar year and 8 times lifetime, with a 16-day gap between attempts.
Three sections in flexible order, 64 questions total.
21 questions, problem solving only
23 questions, RC + critical reasoning
20 questions, MSR + tables + graphs + DS
Sentence Correction and AWA are removed; Integrated Reasoning has been transformed into Data Insights.
Strong band for the M7 (Harvard, Stanford, Wharton, MIT, Booth, Kellogg, Columbia).
Typical band for top-20 global MBAs and European LBS/INSEAD/IESE.
Sufficient for international MBA programs in Turkey such as Sabancı and Koç.
Acceptance for some regional programs, but inadequate for scholarships.
GMAT Focus scores are distributed differently from old GMAT — 685 Focus ≈ old 720, 705 Focus ≈ old 740.

I knew my target, but I didn't have a realistic routine for GMAT Focus. It was an intense period, but it was worth it.

Breaking Critical Reasoning into smaller pieces worked much better for me. Going back to the lesson recordings helped when I forgot a small step. Separating strategy mistakes from content gaps made progress much quicker. My mock results gradually became more consistent. I wasn't trying to learn new topics at the very last minute. I'm glad I worked with my tutor through this process.

I came back to Verbal Reasoning after a long break and wasn't sure where to begin. I started noticing the reason for a mistake much faster.
Adrien Granger
The class felt relaxed enough to ask questions without overthinking it. Breaking Verbal Reasoning into smaller pieces worked much better for me. I wasn't trying to learn new topics at the very last minute. I'm genuinely thankful to my tutor for being patient.

Balancing GMAT Focus preparation with university and work was harder than I expected. There was no overnight miracle, but the progress was easy to see.
