What You Need to Know About LSAT

01

The LSAT and US Law School Entry

The LSAT (Law School Admission Test) is the standard exam used for entry to law schools (JD programs) in the US and Canada, administered by LSAC (Law School Admission Council). The exam consists of Logical Reasoning, Analytical Reasoning (Logic Games), and Reading Comprehension sections. Scores range from 120-180, with the median score typically around 150.

A 170+ LSAT score creates a strong profile for applications to the T14 law schools (Yale, Stanford, Harvard, Chicago, Columbia, NYU, Penn, Virginia, Michigan, Berkeley, Duke, Northwestern, Cornell, Georgetown). LSAT scores are also a determining factor in merit-based scholarship decisions.

Progress is measured from individual diagnostics and regular practice tests; outcomes vary by student.

I had been studying alone, but my results stopped improving after a point. Having the lesson move at my pace made the process feel much easier. My written answers became shorter, clearer and easier to follow. One bad mock no longer made me want to drop the whole plan. Lesson times could fit around school, university or work. Thanks to everyone who supported me.

GE

Gonzalo Espinoza

Breaking Logical Reasoning into smaller pieces worked much better for me. I started noticing the reason for a mistake much faster.

EN

Ewan Nolan

After my first attempt, I wanted a calmer and more focused plan for the retake. Choosing questions by topic made my practice time much more useful. I stopped choosing answers by feel and started looking for evidence in the passage. My tutor made it easy to ask questions from the first lesson. I used the question bank regularly to return to weaker topics. The preparation felt calmer than I expected.

Lesson times could fit around school, university or work. I finally understood what was going wrong in Argumentative Writing. I found a better balance between regular school and exam preparation. Thank you to the tutor who stayed supportive until the end.

Over time, Reading Comprehension became one of the most organized parts of my LSAT preparation. I stopped doing a huge amount one week and nothing the next. I learned not to spend the same amount of time on every line of a long text. After a while, the questions started to feel much more familiar. I left the exam feeling that I had done what I could. I was really happy with the lessons.
